Captain decisions
Ask "should I captain Haaland or Bruno this week?" and get a numeric verdict with the model's reasoning — fixture difficulty, form, set-piece exposure, head-to-head history.
Transfer paths
Plan multi-week transfer chains. The coach evaluates 2-3 transfer alternatives against the projection engine and shows you EV deltas plus the rank-change probability.
Chip timing
When should you Wildcard? Free Hit? Triple Captain? Coach reads your remaining chips and the live fixture calendar to recommend optimal weeks.
Differential research
Coach knows which players are below 10% ownership AND projected to over-return. Ask "who's the best £6m midfielder I don't already own?" — get a ranked answer.
Live decisions
During live gameweeks, ask about late team news, injury swaps, and bench discipline. Coach has access to the live squad data and pre-deadline price changes.

How does the FPL AI Coach work?▾
The Coach is an LLM grounded in three live data sources: your 15-player squad, the Onside projection engine, and the live fixture + set-piece database. It refuses to answer if it lacks data, so you never get hallucinated player names or stale stats.
Is the AI Coach free?▾
3 questions per day on the free plan. Unlimited questions are included in the Season Pass (£24.99 early-bird). Both tiers have full coach capabilities — only the daily limit differs.
Does the Coach know my actual FPL team?▾
Yes, after you connect your FPL team ID in /account. The Coach reads your live 15-player squad before every answer, so "should I captain Haaland?" gets a personalised response based on your specific squad context.
How is this different from ChatGPT?▾
ChatGPT has no access to live FPL data — no ownership %, no live form, no set-piece confirmations, no your squad. Coach has all of it. Coach also cites which Onside model it's using and gives confidence scores; ChatGPT cannot.
When does the AI Coach launch?▾
