How the rating is calculated
Six components, weighted as below. We publish the weights because a rating you cannot argue with is a horoscope — if you think availability should matter more than fixtures, you can now say so precisely.
- Firepower — 35%
- Captaincy — 15%
- Set pieces — 13%
- Fixtures — 12%
- Availability — 13%
- Bench & structure — 12%
Every projection comes from the same v5 engine that serves our projections pages — mean absolute error 0.86 across 51,518 out-of-sample predictions, against the official FPL benchmark’s 0.896. We grade it every gameweek in public, losses included, at the open benchmark.
Before the Gameweek 1 deadline, FPL does not publish any squad to any third-party tool — not to us and not to anyone else. Until 21 August, use the screenshot importer instead.
