How to Find Your FPL Team ID

Your FPL team ID in four steps. The old routes stopped working in 2026/27 — /api/me/ returns nothing even when you are logged in, and league tables do not appear until the season starts. This is the one method that works right now.

The four steps

Your FPL team ID is the number in your own team's web address. Here is how to see it, and this works right now, before the season starts, with no leagues and no history:

1. Sign in at fantasy.premierleague.com in a browser. 2. Open **Pick Team** from the menu. 3. In the "Points & Rankings" box, click **Gameweek History**. 4. Look at the address bar. It reads fantasy.premierleague.com/en/entry/1234567/history — the number in the middle is your team ID.

That is it. The same number also appears if you open the Transfers section and click **Transfer History**.

To check you have the right one, open fantasy.premierleague.com/api/entry/YOUR-ID/ in a browser. It should show your team name and your own name. If it shows somebody else, you have copied the wrong number.

Why the advice you found elsewhere does not work

Almost every guide online — and a lot of FPL tools — still give one of two methods that both broke for the 2026/27 season. If you have been going round in circles, this is why, and it is not your fault.

**"Visit /api/me/ while logged in."** This used to return your details. In 2026/27 it returns `{"player":null,"watched":[]}` even when you are definitely signed in — the page will happily tell you "You are logged in as ..." while that address insists there is nobody there. The site was rebuilt this season and that address no longer reflects your browser session.

**"Open Leagues, click your own team name."** League tables do not render before the first deadline. Every league you are in shows empty until the season starts, so there is no name to click. This method comes back once Gameweek 1 has been played — it just cannot help you in pre-season, which is exactly when you need it.

One more thing that trips people up: addresses now include a language code, so you will see **/en/entry/1234567/** rather than /entry/1234567/. Both work. The number is what matters.

On your phone

The steps are the same in a mobile browser — sign in, Pick Team, Gameweek History, then read the address bar. You may need to tap the address bar once to see the full address rather than just the site name.

If you use the official FPL app, open your team in a browser instead for this one step. The app does not show the address bar, so there is nowhere for the number to appear.

What your team ID is for

It is a public identifier, not a password. It says which team is yours so a tool can look up the parts of your team that FPL publishes openly. It cannot be used to sign in as you, change your team, or make transfers — none of that is reachable with the ID alone, by anyone.

At Onside you can paste either the number or the whole address; we read the ID out of it either way. One note worth knowing before the season starts: **FPL publishes no squad, rank, budget or transfer data for anybody until the Gameweek 1 deadline** on Friday 21 August. So connecting your team early will not show your XI yet — nobody's tool can, ours included. It fills in automatically the moment the deadline passes, and connecting now means it is waiting for you when it does.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sign in at fantasy.premierleague.com, open Pick Team, click "Gameweek History" in the Points & Rankings box, then read the address bar: it shows fantasy.premierleague.com/en/entry/1234567/history and that number is your team ID. This works before the season starts, with no leagues and no gameweek history.
