SET-PIECE QUESTIONS
Who takes penalties for every Premier League club in 2026/27?
Arsenal — Saka; Aston Villa — Buendía; Bournemouth — Kroupi.Jr; Brentford — Thiago; Brighton — Groß; Chelsea — Palmer; Crystal Palace — Mateta; Everton — Barry; Fulham — Gonzalo; Leeds — Calvert-Lewin; Liverpool — Szoboszlai; Man City — Haaland; Man United — B.Fernandes; Newcastle — Osula; Nott'm Forest — Gibbs-White; Sunderland — Diarra; Tottenham — Solanke. Where a club has no settled taker the table above shows the order we expect, with the evidence behind it.
Who takes corners in the Premier League this season?
Arsenal — Rice; Aston Villa — McGinn; Bournemouth — Tavernier; Brentford — Jensen; Brighton — Groß; Chelsea — James; Crystal Palace — Yeremy; Everton — Garner; Fulham — Iwobi; Leeds — Stach; Liverpool — Szoboszlai; Man City — Cherki; Man United — B.Fernandes; Newcastle — Hall; Nott'm Forest — McAtee; Sunderland — E.Le Fée; Tottenham — Pedro Porro. Corners are where assists live for mid-price midfielders, and the taker changes more often through a season than the penalty taker does.
Why do set-piece takers matter in FPL?
Penalties are the single biggest hidden points source in the game — a nailed penalty taker carries several extra goals a season over an identical player without the duty, at no extra cost. Corners and direct free kicks are the assist equivalent, and they are the reason two players with similar underlying numbers can return very differently.
How often is this set-piece list updated?
Every week. The list is rebuilt from each club's own official set-piece designations in the Premier League fantasy game — the same penalty, free-kick and corner orders the clubs declare themselves — and it was last checked on 6 October 2026, with the most recent change to a taker on 29 September 2026. Duties change when a taker is sold, dropped or misses, so the list is maintained through the season rather than frozen in August.
