Forest after five gameweeks
Nottingham Forest start 2026/27 under Oliver Glasner, who joined from Crystal Palace in the summer after a 2025/26 in which Forest went through several managers. After five games they are thirteenth: a 1-0 home defeat to Leeds, 2-2 at Liverpool, 0-0 with Tottenham, a 2-1 win at Aston Villa and a 1-0 home defeat to Coventry. Four scored, five conceded, one clean sheet.
Glasner has brought the back three and wing-backs he used at Palace, and the defence has been tidy. The attack has not: four goals in five games is the number that decides how much Forest you want.
Gibbs-White is the attacking pick
Morgan Gibbs-White is first on penalties and direct free kicks and has a goal and two assists — involved in three of Forest’s four goals. At £8.0m he is priced as a premium, which is a lot for a side scoring less than a goal a game, but he is the only Forest attacker with a guaranteed role.
Up front Glasner has rotated: Igor Jesus, Liam Delap (signed from Chelsea) and Dan Ndoye have a goal each, and Chris Wood, second on penalties, has not started a league game.
The back three and wing-backs
Neco Williams and Murillo have started every game and are the defenders to look at: Williams as the attacking wing-back and second on corners, Murillo second on free kicks. Matz Sels has played every minute in goal. Daniel Muñoz, signed from Crystal Palace, has started three games, and Nikola Milenković is due back from a hamstring injury around GW6.
One clean sheet in five keeps them as squad players rather than picks for now.
Forest’s next five
After the international break Forest play Crystal Palace (A), Arsenal (H), Ipswich (A), Brentford (A) and Manchester City (H). The FPL difficulty ratings put Arsenal and City at 4 and Ipswich at 2.
